First social network with end to end encryption!

FutureNet Secure chat

FutureNet is now introducing FutureNet Secure Chat.
We are the first social network in the world (really!) to introduce End To End Encryption. You can read what end to end encryption is here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End-to-end_encryption, but here comes short explanation.

End to End encryption

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is a system of communication where only the people communicating can read the messages. No eavesdropper can access the cryptographic keys needed to decrypt the conversation, including telecom providers, Internet providers and the company that runs the messaging service. No third-parties can decipher the data being communicated or stored. For example, companies that use end-to-end encryption can’t hand over texts of their customers’ messages to the authorities.

Facebook, Google and other social networks are not End To End encrypted!

They only offer client to server encryption which means, your data can be read by anyone having access to their servers.
It can mean thousands of people! Even if they don't want to, they can be forced to hand over your conversations to someone.
Even if you trust those companies, they can sell their company in the future or sell hard drives to someone and your privacy can be in danger..
On FutureNet, we can't do it. We can't read your messages even if we want to..

How to activate secure chat

You need to set up a secure chat password. It should be a totally new password, not the one used for futurenet or any other service. The longer it is, the more secure you are.
Remember, your chat is only secure if other person has activated secure chat too. Input field will be green if everything is OK.
